Celebrate Small Business Saturday in Style – Shop Local, Support Your Community, and Make a Big Impact in Downtown!

Created by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday celebrates the impact small businesses have on communities across the country. An average two-thirds of every dollar ($0.67) spent at a small business in the U.S. stays in that local community. We are back again this year to host another Small Business Saturday from 10am to 5pm in Downtown Chico. Find your uniquely Chico Christmas gifts for family and friends on Small Business Saturday and don't hassle with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Enjoy downtown, the shops, dining, pop-up markets and ice skating. We hope everyone can come out, shop local and enjoy all that Downtown Chico has to offer! 

• Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, shopping hours 10am to 5pm throughout downtown businesses

• Micro-Business Pop-Up featuring 50 micro-businesses to shop from hosted by 3CORE on 4th Street along the Ice Rink at the Plaza from 11am to 4pm

• Live entertainment can be found throughout Downtown Chico. 

Downtown Chico's Receipt-to-Win Raffle:

Location: Downtown Welcome Center

Details: Shoppers who bring their receipts from any downtown business on Small Business Saturday will be entered into a raffle. The grand prize includes a gift basket filled with downtown goodies.

Downtown Micro-Business Fair:

Location: 4th Street between Main & Broadway

Time: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm Business Saturday Micro-Business Fair (4th Street, between Main & Broadway)

Booth Costs: $50

Special Feature: As an extension of the Thursday Night Market's Young Entrepreneurs Initiative, 15 spaces will be reserved for youth aged 18 and under. Applications will be open from Monday, September 23 to Monday, October 7, 2024. 3CORE to sponsor YE booths.

The event takes place on a flat surface with accessible sidewalk ramps, ensuring ease of navigation for individuals using mobility aids. Service animals are welcome to accompany their owners. Limited seating is available in the plaza area for those who need to rest or take a break. Our dedicated staff members are on hand to assist attendees with any questions or concerns they may have.
