United Way of Northern California (UWNC) is pleased to announce the third annual A Toast to Equity: Elevating North State Change-Makers taking place on January 24, 2025, an inspiring evening celebrating the individual’s driving equity and inclusion across the North State. 

This year’s celebration will recognize: 

Grand Honoree: Tracy Edwards, CEO of Redding Rancheria. 

Equity Champions: Araceli Gutierrez, Tehama County activist and CEO of Marketing & Consulting LLC; Seng Yang, Director of the Hmong Cultural Center; & Art Sevilla, Executive Director of Empire Recovery. 

Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient: James O’Bannon, PhD, Chico State. 

Event Highlights Include: Keynote Speaker Dr. Nandi Sojourner Crosby ( two-time award-winning author, philanthropist, and Sociology Professor at CSU Chico), a recognition ceremony honoring change-makers shaping our communities, a dessert auction, live auction, and silent auction featuring exclusive items to bid on.
